When I was growing up I had the most amazing grandmother who lived with her husband on a sail boat in Long Beach. We often visited Grandma and Grandpa Cliff and they took us on great adventures aboard their Hans Christian.
We sailed many times from the Long Beach Marina just steps away from the Queen Mary to Santa Catalina.
A few weeks ago was the anniversary of my grandmother’s passing. The kids and I went with my mom to throw flowers into the ocean in her honor. There were many sail boats on the bay that day and I’m certainly not familiar enough with them to know what’s what. Mom said this one was a Hans Christian as well which gives one the idea that Joella and Cliff are out there sailing together. Somewhere.
We miss you Grandma.
